Heavy Duty Hydraulic Ram Gate Automation
When you have really heavy gates, or your gates are very long and very busy - Heavy Duty Hydraulic Ram Gate Automation are the way to go.
Sometimes there's no way to make it look pretty. The gates in the picture above are heavily armoured steel gates with hardwood panels. The hardwood panelling alone is 80mm thick. The gates provide security to a sensitive property - where security is the highest concern. The heavy duty hydraulic ram gate automation comes in the form of two quite large hydraulic rams - one on each gate. They are powered by a separate hydraulic power pack that is mounted in a locked steel cabinet - 10m away from he gates.
The gates each weigh 1.5tons and it takes a lot of force to close them into the wind. The heavy duty hydraulic ram gate automation will force the gates closed regardless of what the conditions are like. systems like this, if installed improperly, can be very dangerous. The system creates enough force - that if the correct safety measures were not used - these gates could slice through a body like scissors through paper. Now that can't happen here, as we have implemented all the necessary safety features and measures to make the system operate safely.
This system is real only used on heavy commercial and industrial gates. Though we have installed a few smaller versions of this on residential gates, where security was at risk, and in very windy locations too.
These are the ideal solution for gates to apartment complexes, where vandalism and mis-use can be a big problem. The heavy duty hydraulic ram gate automation is really robust and very reliable. We use special valves on the installation that can not be forced open. This prevents the gates from being forced open. Actually, the gates would bend before the rams would fail.
Like all hydraulic systems, this is designed to run continuously. That feature, along with the reliability, makes them the ideal choice for underground car park gates. The system can also be fitted with a manual over ride facility, to allow the gates to be manually operated if the electricity supply should fail.
For all of its size, this system actually operates very quietly. There is little more than a humm from the motor as it opens and shuts the gates.
How big can the gates be?
There really is no limit to the size of the gates that this system can manage. As the system itself does not bar the weight of the gate - it only provides the power to move the gate leaf - there is no restriction on length or weight. As long as the gate will travel along it's path freely (it doesn't drag on the ground) it can be automated with this system. Very long gate leaves should have additional locking facilities (a mag lock or electric bolt) fitted to the end of the gate. This is just to prevent someone springing at the gate and becoming trapped between the motionless gate and gate post (a long steel gate will exhibit a certain flexibility if unlocked).
In summary, if you have a big gate, and no one else can guarantee the automation, you need the "A" Team with our heavy duty hydraulic ram gate automation.
